In 2026, Roulez vert gives up to $2,000 on a new electric car, $1,000 on a used one bought from a dealer, and $500 to $1,000 on a plug-in hybrid. The amount depends on the registration date, and the program ends on December 31, 2026. The federal rebate of up to $5,000 comes on top.

Who qualifies?
A new vehicle must have a manufacturer's suggested retail price under $65,000 and a battery of 8 kWh or more. A used vehicle must be battery electric, 1 to 4 model years old, have an equivalent new MSRP under $65,000, and be bought from a Quebec dealer on the official list. Private sales are not eligible.
How is the rebate paid?
The dealer applies it to the contract, or you apply online and it is paid in a few weeks. Taxes are calculated before the rebate, so you do not pay tax on the rebate amount.
What about a home charger?
