Frequently asked questions

Is there an EV rebate in Ontario?

Not from the province in 2026. Ontario buyers can still get the federal rebate of up to $5,000 on an eligible new EV.

Can I combine the federal and provincial rebates?

Yes. The federal program says provincial rebates can be combined with it, and they don't count toward its $50,000 price limit.

Is there a rebate for a used EV?

Not federally. Quebec gives up to $1,000 on an eligible used EV bought from a Quebec dealer in 2026, and Manitoba up to $2,500.
